USE CASES / MANAGEMENT

Monday’s numbers before Monday’s coffee. And an answer on Tuesday.

Last week in five lines, on your phone at 06:01. A push when a number crosses a line you set. And when you ask “why is margin down in the North branch?” in plain words, an answer from your own data, with the rows it came from. It reads every system. It never changes a number in any of them.

Margin in the North branch fell to 18.2 %, under your 20 % line. Two reasons: one large discounted order, and freight up 14 %. Want the two orders behind it, or leave it?

WHAT IT TAKES OVER

Five things you used to wait for.

What each one takes a controller or a Monday meeting today, and what is left of it afterwards. The last one is the one most owners have simply stopped asking for.

WHAT REACHES YOU

Five lines on Monday. One push when something moves.

The Monday report is five lines, not a deck: revenue, margin, cash, orders, who owes you, each against last week and the same week last year. Between Mondays you hear nothing, unless a number you care about crosses a line you set. Then one push, with the reason already found.

A line crossed reaches you, with the two or three rows behind it, so the conversation on Tuesday starts with “what do we do”, not “is that right”.
A normal week does not. If nothing crossed a line, Monday’s five lines are all you get. Silence means it is fine.

WHAT IT NEVER DOES

Reads every system. Changes none of them.

It never invents a number

Every figure in a report or an answer links to the rows it was computed from. If the data is missing, the answer says so. It does not estimate, round up, or fill a gap to look complete.

It never writes to a source system

Accounting, the shop, the CRM, the warehouse: all connected to be read. This desk has no way to change a record in any of them, by design, not by policy.

It never shares beyond the list

Who sees what is a list you wrote: the owner sees cash, the sales lead sees pipeline, the branch sees the branch. A question outside someone’s list gets a polite no, not an answer.

WHAT IT COST, WHAT IT SAVED

One desk. One month. To the cent.

Every report and every answer is written down with its cost and the time a controller would have needed to build it. Including the one job on this desk that is not worth it yet, and what would fix it.

Questions about the old Excel budget cost more than they save. The budget lives in a workbook with merged cells and twelve tabs, so the agent reads it fresh every time, at 0.42 € a minute. One flat sheet would make it instant. Either way, you saw it here first.

These are our own books first. That is where the numbers come from.
